Millar McCall Wylie is proud to support Portaferry Sailing Club for its “Ruffian 23 – 50th Anniversary Regatta” at Strangford Lough (15th -18th June 2023).

The special 50^th anniversary club event will celebrate ‘Ruffian 23’ sailboats, designed by Portaferry family, the Browns, in the 1970s and enjoyed by sailors around the world ever since.

With boats joining from Dublin Bay, Carrickfergus and the West Coast of Ireland, the weekend will include a mix of sailing, entertainment and awards for club members, visitors, guests and supporters.

Speaking about their involvement, Peter McCall said: “We’re delighted to support Portaferry Sailing Club for what should be a fantastic weekend. Ruffian 23 boats are iconic in the sailing world and it is great to see this celebration happening in the place they were born!

“We support a wide range of sports, community groups and charities because we value the contribution they make to people across Northern Ireland. Congratulations to all at Portaferry Sailing Club and we look forward to seeing the Ruffians set sail on Strangford Lough.”
